There are several exciting things in the making for summer 2018 in Atlantic City! AC is currently being marketed as a destination for everyone to enjoy rather than just for gambling purposes. Concerts, the beach, shopping, and new places to gather with friends and family are making Atlantic City a destination for people of all ages and interests. Our daily summer trips to Atlantic City will resume on Saturday, June 16th. Learn more about the newest additions to our favorite beach town for 2018.
Hard Rock Casino
The Press of Atlantic City announced this past week that the new Hard Rock Casino will have its grand opening on Thursday, June 28th. The company CEO stated that the new Hard Rock just isn’t a casino, but rather an overall entertainment facility. Hard Rock will include a 7,000 person capacity theater, twenty restaurants, 2,000 guest rooms, a beach bar and 2,100 slot machines. There will also be a vast collection of music memorabilia displayed throughout the venue. Some artists to perform at the theater include Frankie Valli, Florida Georgia Line, Pat Benatar, Kid Rock, Rascal Flatts, Third Eye Blind and several more.
Bungalow’s Beer Garden
In Atlantic City’s nearby sister city of Philadelphia, beer gardens in the summer months have been gaining popularity and are a great place for groups of friends to gather. Some include board games and outdoor activities such as shuffleboard and are a great place to spend time in the summer months. Biergarten will be located on the Boardwalk between South California and South Belmont Avenues near its sister location, Bungalow Beach Bar. The Garden will have two bars, an outdoor kitchen as well as fire pits and greenery for the backdrop. The projected date for opening is estimated to be later this summer. Our buses conveniently drop off at Tropicana which is the closest casino to these hot spots that make for a great day in AC.
Festivals and Concerts
If you want the ultimate concert experience, there’s nothing like attending a concert with the ocean as your backdrop! About 50,000 people showed up to pop artist Pink’s concert on the beach last year, and more beach shows will be happening later this summer. Atlantic City is also home to several festivals. Some include Resorts Memorial Weekend Batch on May 25th, Seafood Week at Tropicana beginning June 17th and Vegan Festival on July 14th.
Our Restaurant Recommendation- Angelo’s Fairmont Tavern
Some of Atlantic City’s hidden gems are located off the hustle and bustle of the boardwalk. Angelo’s Fairmont Tavern is one of those gems. Angelo’s has been around since 1935 and offers a variety of Italian cuisine that pairs perfectly with an old school vibe and antique style décor. The restaurant is located at 2300 Fairmount Avenue and is open at 11:30am for lunch every day, dinner at 4:30pm on weekends and 5:00pm during the week. Some popular menu items include eggplant Florentine, fried mozzarella, crab and pasta, steak Portobello, and build your own pasta dishes.
Atlantic City is enhancing its community to include something for everyone, therefore we are looking forward to taking you to enjoy all the city has to offer! Skip the hassle of navigating New Jersey beach traffic and take a Martz. Our buses are air-conditioned with wi-fi, reclining seats and bathrooms. Sit back and enjoy the bus ride to AC this summer!
