Boston Weekend Trip for College Students

Calling all college students! Pack your bags and get ready for a weekend in Boston with Martz. We’re hosting an exclusive college students-only trip to Boston this spring! You’ll get to explore one of the oldest cities in the United States and experience the culture, diverse neighborhoods and rich history that the city of Boston has to offer. Below is what you can do on this exciting weekend trip.
Leaving for Boston
Clear your schedule early in the spring. Our weekend trip in Boston is from March 31-April 2, 2017. We offer two pickup spots for you to join us on our excursion. Our first pickup is at 8 a.m., at the Wyoming Valley Mall in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Our second pickup will be at 8:45 a.m., at the Greenridge Plaza in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Don’t worry about bringing a lunch; we’ll be stopping for food on the way. Once in Boston, we’ll drop you off on Surface Road, near the famous Faneuil Hall, to begin your weekend journey.

For the weekend, we will ask you to book your own hotel room or Airbnb room in the area. Here are a few of our suggestions:

On our weekend trip to Boston, you’ll be able to take advantage of some sightseeing and shopping in the city. We recommend visiting these places to get the full Boston experience:
● Tour of Fenway Park
Tour the home of the Boston Red Sox! Nestled in the city of Boston, Fenway Park is where traditions are celebrated and baseball is forever. An experienced tour guide will provide a riveting, one-hour, walking tour of the ballpark, so you can feel the pulse of the Red Sox Nation. You’ll be able to visit Pesky’s Pole and sit atop the world-famous Green Monster, while looking over left field.
● Freedom Trail
Take a walk on the Freedom Trail! The trail is a 2.5-mile, red-lined route that leads you to 16 historically significant sites. You’ll get to explore museums, meetinghouses and churches, and discover the rich history of the American Revolution.
● New England Aquarium
A global leader in ocean exploration and marine conservation, the New England Aquarium is home to thousands of aquatic animals. From the giant Pacific octopus to the Northern fur seals, there is a wide range of exhibits you can explore. The aquarium is also host to the largest shark and ray touch tank on the East Coast and the Giant Ocean Tank, which is a four-story coral reef featuring hundreds of Caribbean animals.

There are a variety of excellent shopping areas in Boston. Right in the center of the city, you can find plenty of top shopping venues within easy walking distance to some of the most famous visitor attractions. Explore luxury designer boutiques, large department stores, consignment shops and more!
● Boston Brew Tours
Take a tour of some of Boston’s best breweries with Boston Brew Tours. This tour allows you to drink your way through Boston and its awesome beer culture. It’s a great place to relax at the beach, listen to live music and enjoy yourself in the peaceful part of Boston.
After your incredible trip in Boston, we’ll take you back on the bus Sunday morning on Surface Road, near Faneuil Hall, where you can drop off bags and then explore Boston one last time. After your little day trip through the city, meet us back at the same spot, as our Martz bus will depart at 4 p.m. to take you back home.
