CraftNOW returns for its fourth year with eight events showcasing the work of talented craftsman in and around Philadelphia. This year’s theme of “Making a Difference” highlights how craft can be a vehicle for change and dialogue. All are invited to discover Philadelphia’s innovations in the world of the handmade.
The Great Harvest Cider and Beer Festival: November 3rd, 2018
Hawthornes Beer Cafe celebrates fall with a festival featuring all-things autumn: pumpkin beers, ciders, fall lagers and comfort food. With over 75 hard ciders, toasty lagers and pumpkin ales to choose from, this event is perfect for anyone who wants to find the perfect brew. Dozens of food trucks will be serving up street food all day long. The fest also features an apple-bobbing competition, a pie-eating contest, live music and a family fun zone. The festival is an all ages block party, taking place up and down 11th Street.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the Academy of Music: November 6th-18th, 2018
Roald Dahl’s amazing tale is now Philadelphia’s golden ticket! The tale of Willy Wonka and Charlie Bucket comes to life on the Academy of Music stage as the Broadway version of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory takes residence in Philadelphia this November. Tippler’s Tour: Yuletide Cheers and Beers: November 15th-December 27th, 2018

A Red Coat solider provides a unique perspective on this tumultuous time as the tour seeks the comfort of hearty snacks and warming drafts at four cozy pubs.
Philadelphia Marathon: November 17th-18th, 2018
Are you an avid athlete or you just want to combat those upcoming Thanksgiving calories? Sign up for the 25th annual Philadelphia Marathon, which winds throughout the city outskirts and into the heart of the city past the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. An estimate 30,000 people will take place in this year’s 26.2 mile run. In addition to the main event, the weekend also features a 13.1-mile race, an 8k and a health-and-fitness expo.
