If you love Martz Tours, then you’ll love our new tours in 2018. We are offering four brand new tours for our customers to enjoy. Below is a preview of what you’ll have to look forward to for each brand new tour.

Fire & Ice Stourbridge Railroad

Enjoy a ride abroad the Stourbridge Line on June 29, 2018 with Martz, offering scenic views in the Northern Pocono Region. We’ll hop aboard the train in Honesdale and head to Hawley and back, traveling along Laxawaxen River where you just might see a bald eagle or two! Following the serene train ride, we’ll stop at the quaint Settlers Inn in Hawley, PA for a wonderful buffet lunch, including mixed green salad, grilled chicken over wild rice, and more. Following lunch, we will head to Dorflinger Factory Museum in White Mills, PA. The museum houses an extensive collection of glass produced by the Dorflinger Factory in the late 1880’s into the early 1900’s.

Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame and Bat Factory

Come visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY with Martz on July 11, 2018! This museum’s collections feature nearly 40,000 three-dimensional items, 3 million books and documents, and 500,000 photographs telling visitors the story of baseball. A highlight of this tour is the Plaque Gallery, showcasing the bronze plaques that make up the most exclusive sports Hall of Fame. Note that only one percent of those who have played baseball in the major leagues have earned a spot in the Hall of Fame.

Members of the Cooperstown bus tour will be able to spend as much time as they want in the museum. Feel free to go on your own for lunch downtown at the Doubleday Café, Alex’s Bistro, or Hawkeye Bar & Grill. After lunch, visit the Cooperstown Bat Company Bat Factory where staff will demonstrate the art of turning a bat, taking it from a block of wood to a sport staple. You won’t want to miss this Martz tour!

Lancaster Chow Chow Chow Down

Come on the Lancaster Chow Chow Chow Down bus tour with Martz on July 14, 2018! We’ll be visiting Kreider Farms, Shady Maple, and Landis Valley Museum. Our first stop is to Kreider Farms in Manheim where you’ll see how they take care of their dairy cows on a driving tour. Next, we’ll travel to Shady Maple in East Earl for a smorgasbord luncheon. The smorgasbord includes a large salad bar, soups, cheeses, meats, desserts, and more!

Following the smorgasbord, we’ll depart for the Landis Valley Museum in Lancaster. This 100-acre living historic museum collects, conserves, exhibits, and interprets Pennsylvania German culture, history, and heritage from 1740 through 1940. It’s the largest “living history” village in the country dedicated to the total preservation of early Pennsylvania German/Dutch life. If you love delicious food and history, this tour is for you!

Day Trip to Washington DC

Take a day trip to Washington D.C. on August 4, 2018 with Martz for the “Faith in our Nation” bus tour. We’ll be making a few stops on our trip!
