Martz Island Hopping Tour: Day One

Our first day of the tour is dedicated to getting to our first destination in New England. We expect to arrive late afternoon to the Clarion Inn, South Yarmouth in Massachusetts. The hotel features include a heated indoor pool, hot tub, breakfast room and spacious lobby for you to enjoy. Dinner will also be included this night at one of the many local restaurants around the area.

Martz Island Hopping Tour: Day Two

Hy-Line High Speed Ferry to Nantucket Island

Hop aboard the “Little Grey Lady” for a one-hour cruise to Nantucket Island. The island still looks much like it did during its heyday as a prosperous whaling and shipping port in the 1800’s. Once we arrive on Nantucket Island, you’ll have the opportunity to have lunch and shop on your own at one of the many upscale boutiques, art galleries and restaurants available on the island. After a bit of free time, we’ll depart on an island bus for a driving tour of Nantucket that takes you past the cranberry bogs, rolling farmland, quiet villages and crashing waves to the delightful village of ‘Sconset.’ After discovering the beautiful island of Nantucket, we’ll head back to the village of Hyannis for a relaxing dinner.

Martz Island Hopping Tour: Day Three

Steamship Authority Cruise to Martha’s Vineyard

On day three of our trip, we’ll enjoy a nice breakfast before heading to Falmouth, MA. Once there, we’ll take the Steamship Authority Cruise and sail to beautiful Martha’s Vineyard. As we arrive to the island, we’ll walk through the colorful Victorian “Gingerbread Cottage” in Oak Bluffs, drive along the ocean and see where the movie “Jaws” was filmed. You’ll also have plenty of free time to enjoy shopping and lunch in the lovely town of Edgartown, where stately captain’s mansions still line the streets. After a full day in Martha’s Vineyard, we’ll then sail to Woods Hole for a beautiful dinner overlooking the Falmouth Marina.

Martz Island Hopping Tour: Day Four

Interstate Navigation Ferry to Block Island

Following breakfast, we’ll depart with a local guide to take a tour through scenic coastal Rhode Island to Point Judith. Here we’ll jump aboard the Interstate Navigation Ferry to sail to the Bermuda of the North, Block Island. Block Island is known for its outstanding beaches, wildflowers, miles of stonewalls and rolling terrain. Upon arrival, we’ll take a bus for a tour of the island, where we’ll learn about island life as we travel past meadows, moors and marshy ponds. Along the way we’ll stop for photos at South East Light overlooking the Cliffs at Mohegan Bluffs.

Martz Island Hopping Tour: Day Five

Explore Newport, RI

On the last day of our trip, we’ll meet a local guide for a driving tour of Newport’s two most famous scenic routes. Bellevue Avenue lined with luxurious summer cottages built during the Guilded Age, and Ten Mile Ocean Drive with spectacular waterfront estates and picturesque ocean views. As we arrive, we’ll tour the Marble House that contains 500,000 cubic feet of gorgeous marble, built by William Vanderbilt as a birthday gift to wife Alva – once a leading hostess in Newport Society. We’ll also have free time to shop and eat lunch in Newport, where you can enjoy the busy harbor filled with yachts from all over the world before making our departure.
